Definiamo $ ~ A,B \subset G \Rightarrow AB = \{ab : a \in A, b \in B\} $.
Se $ ~ X \subset G $ è un laterale destro di H, allora $ ~ x,y \in X \Rightarrow xy^{-1} \in H $.
Siano $ ~ a,b \in G $. Allora $ ~ HaHb $ è un laterale. Questo implica che, se $ ~ h_1,h_2,h_3,h_4 \in H $ allora:
$ ~ (h_1ah_2b)(h_3ah_4b)^{-1} \in H $ cioè
$ ~ h_1ah_2bb^{-1}h_4^{-1}a^{-1}h_3^{-1} \in H $ cioè
$ ~ h_1ah_2h_4a^{-1}h_3^{-1} \in H $, ponendo $ ~ h_1=h_2=h_3 = e $ otteniamo che, per ogni a e per ogni $ ~ h_4 \in H $:
$ ~ ah_4a^{-1} \in H $
cioè H è normale.
